You probably know him from Game of Thrones or Nashville but Michiel Husiman, the hot dutch drink of water came to my attention on the HBO show Treme. For a dutch guy he’s short only 6’ tall according to imdb. Dutch men are over 6’5” on average, they are the tallest people in Europe. Oh and some of the hottest too.
Currently he has a new movie coming up that I think will be his big break it’s The Age of Adaline. This film looks like a great epic love story. I think we are talking The Notebook worth status here. The Age of Adaline is a story of Adaline played by Blake Lively who is an accident years ago and never ages after being stuck by lightening. Michiel is her modern day lover who I think will be the one she’s meant to be with after all her many life times. SPOILER: Looks like Harrison Ford plays his father and one of her former loves. If we are to believe the trailer!! As a romantic this movie ticks all my boxes. If you like epic romance I think you’d agree that there’s not many great romantic movies anymore. Needless to say I am excited to see Michiel get the credit he deserves for his acting and his hotness.
Check out some of Michiel‘s other shows. Currently he’s Game of Thrones and Orphan Black which I suggest binge watching if you aren’t already. If you missed GoT this week, he was naked in it, not full frontal but pretty close.

Trailer for Age of Adeline
Huisman was born on July 19, 1981 in Amstelveen, Noord-Holland, which is near Amsterdam. Before Game of Thrones (2011), Huisman had a featured role in the Dutch film Black Book (2006), and he played Rudolf Nureyev in the BBC TV movie Margot (2009) about prima ballerina Margot Fonteyn. Before he became ubiquitous on television, Huisman also performed in a band called Fontaine that wrote music for soundtracks. (Huisman released a solo album in 2005.)
Huisman combined his acting and musical talents on the show Treme (2010), where he played Sonny, a drug addicted musician. Then came Huisman’s big break into one of the hottest shows on cable, Game of Thrones (2011), where he took over the role of Daario Naharis. Huisman was given a lot of leeway to approach the character and re-interpret Daario his own way. The creators of Game of Thrones (2011) felt that viewers would adapt to the transition between actors well, and Huisman was indeed accepted by fans of the show.
Huisman had the distinction of being on three big shows at the same time, namely “Thrones,” country music drama Nashville (2012), where he played producer Liam McGuiniss, and the sci-fi series Orphan Black (2013), where he played Cal Morrison, a human who interacting with clones.
