I am not sure if I am missing Sons of Anarchy or having an exceptional Alpha biker summer graving but I’ve been reading a SH%T ton of MC books. This wasn’t my intention but I headed towards that semi truck like Jax Teller and can’t stop. I think Kristen Ashley’s Ride Steady kicked it all of at the beginning of summer and they just keep coming rolling onto my Kindle.
Several weeks ago I saw the cover for Lucky’s Choice the 7th book in the Last Riders series. The cover sucked me in but the story kept me reading the series. Stupidly I ended up reading the backwards but it was worth the journey.
Lucky’s story is he’s a undercover pastor but he was also a member of a MC biker gang. He’s given up on his faith and is going back to his life of debauchery with his brothers at the club.
Willa is one of his congregation whose ended up taking care of five kids that aren’t her’s for a woman who she hated. Willa broke my heart, she’s sweet and loveable but insisting to do it on her own.
This story will break your heart but you will also fall in love with both of these broken people looking to find someone to love.
The other stories are about the other men in the MC: Cash, Knox, Shadow, Razer and Viper. All of these brothers and their lovely ladies bring a different story to the series. The woman are strong but have been damaged in some way so you will route for them to get their HEA. The stories are action packed and filled with suspense as well as steamy sex. There should be one or two more brothers to be written about before the series is over. Don’t be dumb like me read these in order its important as the series has running stories through them.
NOTE: Shadow’s story is a big part of the mythology of this series and there’s two books with him featured. This book Shade (The Last Riders Book 6) did tell the majority of the entire series from Shade’s POV. However, there’s new material here too so I recommend reading it and bring your tissues for the epilogues it’s the best.
