Author Melissa Foster Answers My Five Burning Questions & more

I discovered Melissa Foster when I found one of her books and the hero worked in the video games industry. My day job is in video game development so I wanted to check it out. She nailed it! The book is first in Remington Series, Game of Love (Love in Bloom: The Remingtons, Book One) and I was hooked on her writing. Melissa is one of those prolific authors that I will probably spend the rest of my life trying to read all her books. Check out her Amazon page to look at her extensive library of books.

As I try to catch up on her back catalog I will recommend two of her latest books Truly, Madly, Whiskey (Swoony Heartfelt Romance) and Tru Blue (Single Father story). These two books are stand alone stories and are worth your 1-click. I couldn’t put either of them down and are definitely worth adding your to your TBR.

Melissa took a few minutes out to answer my five burning questions. Check out her answers below.

1. Kill, Marry or Screw? Gideon Cross, Kellan Kyle or Rex (or more)?

Kill: I can’t answer because that evil eye will get me. Bwahahahaha

Marry: Rex Braden from Destined for Love, because who doesn’t want a hot, possessive cowboy taking care of them–in the bedroom and out?

Screw: I’m a total book boyfriend whore. I want ALL the Bad Boys After Dark. The reasons are obvious.

2. Do you remember the first romance book you ever read? Can you tell me about it? EDITORS NOTE: I think mine was Bitch by Jackie Collins and I was about 10 or 11.

Oh gosh, no. Even if I could remember the title, I’d never remember the storyline well enough because I’ve read so many since.

3. What type of stories would you like to write but haven’t yet? Menage, BDSM or a sexless romance. The sexless romance should come with a warning. Don’t you think?
Having written more than 60 books, there isn’t much I haven’t written yet. But a menage is coming up in Breaking Brandon in my Harborside Nights series. I’m excited to write it, but more because I’ll get to know more about Brandon than for the menage. Sex is ALWAYS fun to write, regardless of if it’s a one-night stand, an ongoing love affair, or friends who fall into bed with each other on a weekly basis. Bring it on!

4. What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t writing or reading?

When I’m not reading or writing I’m usually on Cape Cod at the beach…plotting. 🙂

5. If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone to it, who would it be? Celebrities, book boyfriends, intellectuals or anyone. Name five people.

Five people I’d invite to a dinner party? Pleeeeaassseee can they each bring a plus one? lol. Okay, here goes. Chris Hemsworth and Hugh Jackman. No explanation necessary. Drew Barrymore so I have someone to drool and laugh with. Bear Whiskey from Truly, Madly, Whiskey, because the guy’s got it all going on, and Blake Carter, my first Love in Bloom boyfriend from Sisters in Love. I’ll always have a hot spot for the naughty playboy who fell hard for his woman (sorry Danica, but tonight he’s mine!).

6. For bonus points, what’s your favorite swear word?

Definitely the F-bomb 🙂 What can I say? I grew up with six brothers.
