I must confess I am late to the ball when it comes to Vi Keeland’s books. A friend had recommended Throb but it wasn’t until I saw the cover for Beat that I got on board because I am sucker for a drummer story. Then of course there’s her collaboration with Penelope Ward on Cocky Bastard that was one of the best reads of 2016. Her most recent book Baller wouldn’t have been something I normally checked out because I am not a sports romance kind of girl. Given the cover and her past record I made an exception and am now a convert. Between Vi, Helena Hunting and Sawyer Bennett I have begun to appreciate the sports romance genre even more.

2. Do you remember the first romance book you ever read? Can you tell me about it? I think mine was Bitch by Jackie Collins and I was about 10 or 11.
I don’t remember the first, but I remember that Hollywood Wives by Jackie Collins had a ton of folded down pages 😉
3. What type of stories would you like to write but haven’t yet? Menage, BDSM or a sexless romance. The sexless romance should come with a warning. Don’t you think?
I would love to write a BDSM! But I don’t think I would be hard core enough. As for sexless romance, I don’t read ’em or write ’em!
4. What’s it like to collaborate with Penelope Ward?
In one word, AWESOME. We have a great time doing it, and it’s actually easier for me to write with her than by myself.
5. If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone to it, who would it be? Celebrities, book boyfriends, intellectuals or anyone. Name five people.
Penelope Ward – because it’s no party without Penelope. Gideon Cross – because I love the way he loves. I’m a total Gideon Girl. Mark Wahlberg -because I love his attitude. Seth Macfarlane – to keep us all laughing.
6. For bonus points, what’s your favorite swear word?
Fuck. Because it goes with everything!
