Author RC Boldt Answers my Five Burning Questions & more

clamjamLately, I’ve been in the mood for funny and steamy versus tearful and sexy so when I read the description for this Clam Jam and I was in!  After reading Clam Jam if you want to go back to a little more angst driven romance check out RC’s other book Out of Love.  Two words:  Navy SEAL!

“Clam Jam”
Definition: the female equivalent of a cock block.
Example: You’re chatting with a guy you’re interested in and your friend comes along and lays claim to him.

Thank you RC for taking time out of your busy writing schedule to answer my five burning questions.

1. Let’s start off with Kill, Marry or Screw? Gideon Cross, Kellan Kyle or Ry?
I have to admit that I haven’t read either series so I’d have to use the men from my own for this. This is a really tough question…Kill-Lawson Briggs from Laws of Attraction, Marry-Mac from Wildest Dream, Screw-Foster Kavanaugh from Out of Love

2. Do you remember the first romance book you ever read? Can you tell me about it?  EDITORS NOTE: I think mine was Bitch by Jackie Collins and I was about 10 or 11.
I couldn’t tell you the title but I know it was a Harlequin Teen Romance novel. And I was hooked from that point on.

outoflove3.What type of stories would you like to write but haven’t yet? Menage, BDSM or a sexless romance. The sexless romance should come with a warning. Don’t you think?
I haven’t yet written a full-fledged romantic suspense and I would love to do so at some point. And I truly don’t know that I could ever write a sexless romance. I’m far too pervy for that. ;)

4.Tell us a little about your writing process and where you find inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere in daily life, quite honestly. My writing process begins with an outline (which I usually veer off from either around the mid-point or the end because I get a better idea along the way) and then I go from there. I write while my little one goes to half-day Pre-K so I plug my earbuds into my laptop, turn on music, and type away for those three hours.

5. If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone to it, who would it be?  Celebrities, book boyfriends, intellectuals or anyone.  Name five people.
I’d invite Tim Tebow, JJ Watt, Paul Rudd, my husband, and Jimmy Fallon. That list is in no particular order, of course. 😉
